Making Adjustments


These pictures are the same shot with only with the addition of a filter and a slight crop.  I feel like the whole mood of the photo changed.  Thoughts?

    Hi Zeph,

    I agree, the mood is totally different with the cropping and the filter, which adds a blur element to the second image. Even a slight blur alters the mood. Nice.

    I am generally not a fan of one click filters and would rather see you make intentional edits... the purple background in the second shot weakens rather than strengthens the shot.

      Thank You Professor Nevins. I try not to use filters, I just was playing around with editing options and this really caught my eye. I will explore Photoshop to create a mood without weakening a shot.
