I wish you could have been there to see this reflection on the water in person, it was like heaven.
Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, so peaceful.
Tiny little cottage someone placed on a rock on the lake.
I believe this is moss. I tried to get a good up close picture of it.
Sparklers on the Fourth of July! Happy Birthday America!
Midnight fire on the lake

These are lovely Sarah… I was very close to you this weekend as well on Merrymeeting Lake just south of Winnipesaukee and only got home this morning at 1 AM… We were visiting my brothers lake house and going to a large Fourth of July party at his house.
ReplyDeleteI like the simple yet beautiful observation on the first shot of the clouds reflected in the water as well as the beautiful sunset shot in the second one showing off lovely cloud formations. I like how you tilted the camera and left the shore in the lower part of the frame. To improve, I would rotate the image slightly to the right in order to level out the shoreline with the bottom edge of the frame and also use the clone tool to remove that small piece of stainless steel from your boat creeping into the frame.
In the shot of the lichen I can I appreciate how you framed the shot and thought about proportion and composition.
I'm not a huge fan of isolating one element in color and letting the rest remain black and white. It's more of a fancy effect rather than good clean editing in support of the quality image. The next one down of the sunflower looks like saturation got pushed a bit too much again for the same reason... it is more of a flashy effect rather than good quality. The next one down is not that sharp… Perhaps it's a very tight crop? And the blowouts and pushed levels again don't speak to quality. I do like the next two images of the raindrops on the leaf... the first one separates beautifully from the background darker values behind it and the next one down is lovely with all the detail of how each droplet reflects the sky and how it fills the frame.
The first sparkler picture is my favorite of the group… It's the simplest without any extraneous details such as with the black and white one to follow.
All in all well done.
I love these pictures.. So peaceful
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, I really like the moss photo and the first sparkler - so fun! It looks like it was a great 4th of July weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love these photos Sarah. Especially the one of the sunflower.
