Hi there!
My name is Amanda and I am working to finish my undergrad. I live in Litchfield County with my husband, our 2 year old, and (almost) 4 month old. I've always appreciated photography and we invested in an "adult" camera when our first son was born with the intention to use it all the time... Sadly that has not been the the case, it's just too easy to snap a photo with my phone especially when we're always on the go! I am looking forward to taking this class and getting some use out of it, and learning a few pointers along the way.
Below is my self portrait. The weather today wasn't cooperating to get outside, and I like the soft lighting in my office.. I did make some edits in PS - I cropped the image to be square, and adjusted the brightness and hue.

Perfect, Amanda. Thanks for the comments about your adult camera :) I do want everyone to mention what they will be shooting with... even if it's a phone... Be sure to set your camera to shoot in RAW... that will give you a much wider dynamic range to edit with. It helps avoid clipped highlights and shadows...(over exposed or under exposed)
ReplyDeleteOf course - I will be shooting with my phone, an iPhone 7 Plus, and Canon EOS Rebel T6.
